- Answer the questions prompted to you on the board. Write your answers on you "Warm-up and Daily Participation" sheet.
- Lección
- ¨Los tres reyes magos¨: Head to the computer lab to read information on the celebration of "Los tres reyes magos." You may work with a partner. After reading answer the comprehension questions provided for you.
- Begin working on review of Spanish I and II material utilizing the chapter packet.
- While in the computer lab, students began reviewing their vocabulary with the Leccion preliminar Quizlet.
- Closing/ Homework
- We touched basis on the uses of SER and ESTAR
- Your HOMEWORK: Turn to page 6 of your Lección preliminar Chapter Packet and fill in the guided notes. Use the video that is posted HERE and Here help.
- Be sure to complete the "Práctica 1"s for each verb. Fill in your answers on page 6 of your paper packet.
- Práctica 1 for Ser: Fill in the blanks with the most appropriate form of the verb SER.

- Today's warm-up included a review of vocabulary words where the definitions were given to them in the target language. HINT HINT!!! You may have a quiz over some of these this week.
- Lesson Agenda
- Review of SER V. ESTAR
- Discussed the answers to last night's homework.
- Completed practice activities 1 and 2 on pages 7- 8. These activities were completed both individually or with a partner. This assesses a student's reading and writing comprehension.
- (Due to testing schedule we had more time) For 2nd Period and 4th Period we were also able to complete Práctica 3 which is a listening comprehension activity.
- ¡Ficha opportunity! Students were prompted a picture which they were able to utilize to create sentence with either SER or ESTAR.
- Review of SER V. ESTAR
- Closing/ Homework
- Students were given a SER V ESTAR worksheet. They were then asked to complete a number of problems and then we discussed them in class.
- 1st Period: No homework tonight due to time.
- 2nd Period and 4th Period: For those students that did not make a 14/ 15 on the SER V. ESTAR worksheet, this is your homework. Choose an additional 18 problems to answer from the same worksheet to complete.

- Translation Practice: We continued to focus on the differences between SER and ESTAR with these translations.

- Practice with Speaking Comprehension
- In 1st Period, students were prompted a series of pictures to which they had an opportunity to earn daily participation points.
- In 2nd and 4th: We began to practice with pronunciation of our "Preguntas Importantes." Students took 3 rounds walking through the class asking questions to each other with the use of their paper. After which they then had to do with out. We went three rounds focusing on 4 questions each. This repetition gave students an opportunity to rehearse as well as gave me an opportunity to provide constructive feedback.
- Students then worked independently after they were reminded of the following items.
- Nouns and Articles in Spanish (chapter packet page 9)
- Noun and Adjective Agreement (chapter packet page 10)
- Possessive Adjectives (chapter packet page 10 - 11)
- For those students that were ready, they had the opportunity to move on to the Conjugation of -AR, -ER, and -IR verbs in their paper packet. (chapter packet page 12 - 14)

- For 1st Period: For those students that did not make a 9/10 or better on the SER V. ESTAR worksheet, this is your homework. Choose an additional 18 problems to answer from the same worksheet to complete.
